Liz is a Senior Associate in the Commercial Disputes Resolution team, based in Leeds. She has a broad commercial practice with a particular interest in professional negligence disputes and ADR, including arbitration.
Liz’s recent experience includes: acting for a charity in its appeal to the Court of Appeal in a case relating to water abstraction rights; acting for a subsidiary of a major utility in an ad-hoc arbitration; acting for a number of high net-worth individuals in a shareholder dispute relating to the recovery of loans worth over $2m to a Bahamian company; acting for an IT supplier in a High Court claim against a former customer in relation to delivery of an IT project; acting for a care home operator in relation to a breach of warranty claim; acting for the claimants in several negligence claims against their professional advisers.
As well as being qualified in England & Wales, Liz is an Australian qualified solicitor and spent six years working in Melbourne, Victoria where her focus was on professional negligence and D&O claims, acting on behalf of defendants and their insurers.
