Duncan is a Principal Associate on our Planning and Infrastructure Consenting team. He has extensive experience in all aspects of the planning process including a focus on residential development. 

Duncan promotes developments such as yours through the planning system dealing with s106 agreements, infrastructure agreements, legal challenges/judicial review, planning appeals, advertising regulations, assets of community value and planning due diligence.

He has particular experience in the residential development sector where he is regularly instructed by national house builder clients in respect of both strategic and immediate land sites.

In addition, Duncan has extensive experience acting in the energy sector and on corporate transactions.

Duncan's recent experience on high-profile planning matters includes:

  • 1,200 house urban extension to Leighton Buzzard
  • 2,300 unit residential led development near Cirencester
  • 1,300 house development in Bromsgrove
  • a rail freight terminal in Leicestershire which is classed as a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project (NSIP)
  • Contributing author for Lexis Nexis Professional and has several published practice notes for planning and energy
  • Listed as a "Key Lawyer" for Eversheds Sutherland in The Legal 500 West Midlands Planning rankings
