Practice notes

Sasha is a senior employment lawyer, with over 15 years’ experience in advising mainly technology and life science clients on international labour law matters. She is ranked in Legal 500 as one of the firm’s next generation lawyers.

Sasha’s experience includes cross-border project management and international client account management, restructuring (international and UK including collective consultation and agile transformation) TUPE and outsourcing (international and UK), complex employee investigations, litigation (UK and managing ROW litigation in collaboration with local counsel), and international training, including presenting on our international public training courses, She is also experienced in advising on flexible and hybrid working models, diversity and inclusion issues (e.g. cross-border gender pay reporting). Sasha has a particularinterest in apprenticeships.

She is also a keen advocate of using technology to improve our client service. In collaboration with our legal technologists she has delivered technology solutions for our clients to improve efficiency, visibility and co-ordination of global employment instructions and advice.

Prior to joining the firm, she gained 3 years’ in-house experience as employment counsel at a major UK retailer.

Sasha is a lead member of our Life Sciences Associates and cross-border champions group. She is also our associate international training workstream lead.

Sasha sits on the Advisory Committee of a Cambridge based community interest company, Form the Future and supports their work in building links between local employers and schools.

Sasha recently edited the latest edition of our international health and life sciences publication, Updates in a heartbeat.

Sasha regularly presents on our public law training courses including European HR – managing multi-jurisdictional projects and Introduction to UK employment law.

Client Experience Sasha’s experience includes:

  • managing a global project involving strategic advice and implementation of UK collective redundancy consultation and international restructuring across 7 different locations in Europe and APAC
  • lead employment associate on a multi-million acquisition by Fortune 500 life sciences distribution company of part of another US life sciences company, which involved seeking employment advice across 16 different jurisdictions
  • advising on permanent reassignment of employees between local entities in relation to 30+ countries in LATAM, EMEA and APAC in collaboration with local counsel
  • completing a five month secondment to a global technology company as international employment counsel
