Practice notes

Stuart is a partner in the Real Estate Litigation group in London and Cambridge. Whilst he has significant trial experience his focus is on finding solutions to disputes and problems concerning property.

His recent experience includes successfully:

Advising developers in relation to adverse interests affecting development sites;

Pursuing/defending claims involving interference with rights of light;

Acting for a client pursuing a claim for fraud against a joint venture partner;

Acting for an agent on the successful recovery of unpaid sales commission following the sale of property in Switzerland;

Pursuing/defending claims for terminal dilapidations following lease expiry;

Pursuing/defending claims for professional negligence involving commercial property;
Obtaining injunctions against urban explorers.

Stuart is a former chairman of the Property Litigation Association and is recognised as a 'Leading Individual' by Legal 500 and a 'Ranked Lawyer' by Chambers and Partners.
