Thomas is a partner at Eversheds Sutherland in Munich. His work covers property acquisitions and disposals for domestic and international investors, real estate finance as well as aspects of the tenant and landlord relationship. Thomas advises both banks and borrowers in a wide range of finance transactions, in particular real estate finance, acquisition finance, project finance and corporate lending. Thomas is experienced in advising on project development. Thomas has advised on more than 70 M&A and Private Equity transactions, most of which were cross-border.

  • Invesco Real Estate on the financing of the acquisition of the office building “Die Welle” in Frankfurt for a purchase price of EUR 620m
  • Savills Investment Management on the financing of the acquisition of logistic properties in France, Germany, Ireland, The Netherlands, Poland, Scotland, Spain and Sweden
  • Iron Mountain on the acquisition of a datacenter development project in Frankfurt
  • Real I.S. on the acquisition of the commercial property „Wien Westbahnhof A3“ for three pension funds for a purchase price of approx. EUR 110m
  • BayernLB on the financing of the acquisition of the commercial property 100 New Oxford Street in London by AEW and Thor Equities for a purchase price of GBP 180m
  • Sky Deutschland on the acquisition of the telemarketing business @friends
  • Berlin Hyp on the financing of the acquisition of the Vattenfall Headquarters in Berlin by Westbrook Partners and Cornerstone
  • Invesco Real Estate on the financing of the acquisition of a portfolio of 13 hotels in Germany and The Netherlands for a purchase price of EUR 530m
  • Blackstone on the sale of the „Union State“ international student housing portfolio
  • HSBC Bank on the refinancing of a large portfolio of industrial properties
  • BayernLB and DekaBank on the financing of the acquisition of PEP shopping centre Neuperlach (Munich) by TIAA CREF
  • Aerium on a joint venture for the realisation of a city centre retail development project in Kiel
  • BayernLB on the refinancing of a portfolio of more than 6,100 residential units of Immeo Group in Germany
  • Invesco Real Estate on the acquisition of a portfolio of retail centres valued approx. EUR 218m.
