Practice notes

Chris is a Senior Associate in our Corporate Group. He has experience acting for a wide range of clients in relation to acquisitions, disposals and private equity transactions (both UK-based and international), acting for major corporates, private equity houses and management teams.

His recent private equity experience includes acting for Livingbridge on its buyout of Brainlabs, acting for Equistone on its acquisition of Inspired Thinking Group (and subsequent bolt on acquisitions of Intrepia and Connect), acting for LDC on its acquisitions of Addo Food Group and FC Business Intelligence, advising Caird Capital and other shareholders on the sale of Nylacast Holdings Limited, acting for Bridgepoint Development Capital on its acquisition of, acting for Sovereign Capital on its acquisition of Dalepak and acting for Livingbridge and the management shareholders on the sale of a majority stake in BathEmpire to Wolseley.

His recent M&A experience includes acting for DuPont on the divestment of its natural colors business to DDW, acting for Low & Bonar PLC on the disposal of its construction fibres business to Adfil NV, acting for TechnipFMC on its acquisition of the wellhead exploration business carried on by Plexus; acting for Brady Corporation on the divestment of its Welco business and the disposal of its Die-Cut business across 10 jurisdictions to Boyd Corporation and acting for Zandera (t/a E-Lites) and selling shareholders on the sale of Zandera to Japan Tobacco Inc.

Chris also has client relationship responsibility for a number of international clients including Brady Corporation, Sherwin-Williams and TechnipFMC, advising and coordinating multi-jurisdictional advice on various corporate matters across over 35 jurisdictions.

Chris has an honours degree in Law from the University of Leeds and qualified at Eversheds in September 2013.
