Maximilian is a Senior Associate in our Construction/Real Estate practice group in Dusseldorf.

He advises clients on private and public construction law as well as public procurement law. His activities focus in particular on construction planning law in the context of the implementation and prevention of large-scale retail projects. His clients include the public sector as well as private owners and investors.

Maximilian studied law at the University of Jena. Following his studies, he worked as a research associate for the Federal Department for Consumer Protection, Food and Agriculture (Bundesministerium für Landwirtschaft, Ernährung und Verbraucherschutz) in Bonn. Since the beginning of 2016, Maximilian has been admitted as lawyer.

Maximilian's recent experience includes:

  • Advising and representation in court of a local council in the context of the implementation of a large scale retail project (outlet center)
  • Advising and representation in court of a local council in the context of preventing a planned large scale retail project (outlet center) in a neighbouring municipality
  • Enforcement in court of claims for damages amounting to several million euros against an architectural firm
  • Ongoing advice to a local council regarding the implementation of a major urban development project, in particular regarding private construction law and public procurement law issues
  • Ongoing advice to several medium-sized real estate companies, in particular regarding private and public construction law as well as construction contract law issues
  • Advice to a communal enterprise regarding public procurement and state aid law with respect to the potential implementation of a communal bicycle hire system
