Nadia is a partner in our Employment Law department focusing on all aspects of employment law.

She frequently represents her clients in disciplinary and incapacity enquiries and provides advice and opinions on all aspects of employment law.

Nadia has received a lot of her training in the education sector and regularly assists in advising tertiary institutions on the particular challenges facing this sector.

Her experience includes:

  • Part of the team that successfully defended an urgent application brought by an employee of the university to interdict its recruitment process in respect of a Head of Department.
  • Part of the team that represented one of our clients in defending a CCMA unfair dismissal dispute referred against it by a former senior employee who was, pursuant to a disciplinary hearing, dismissed for having been found guilty of gross misconduct, being gender-based bullying.
  • Part of the team that provided advice and assisting client with executing a large scale organisational restructure in which retrenchments are contemplated.
  • Recognised by The Legal 500 in the EMEA 2023 edition as one of the recommended lawyers in Employment law.  
  • Our Labour and Employment Department was recognized by The Legal 500 in the EMEA 2023 edition under Tier 3.
     

Nadia graduated with a BSocSci (law and organisational psychology) from Rhodes University in 2012 and in 2014 she obtained her LLB Degree cum lade and was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2017.
