Practice notes
Will is a Principal Associate in our corporate and energy practice groups and is based in our London office.
Will has a particular focus on international acquisitions and disposals and joint venture arrangements in the clean energy sector though also has significant past experience working on the development and financing of large-scale infrastructure and power projects. A selection of Will’s relevant experience includes advising:
- Sonnedix on its long-term strategic partnership with Amundi Energies Vertes in the European solar PV market
- Greencoat Renewables Plc on the purchase of an onshore wind farm in Finland
- Glennmont Partners on the disposal of its biomass powered CHP plant in Sleaford
- a multinational energy company on its bidding arrangements for the UK Offshore Wind Leasing Round 4
- a developer on various ongoing offshore floating wind demonstration projects
- RWE Renewables GmbH on its partnership with Saitec Offshore Technologies to install and operate floating platforms for offshore wind turbines
- Gresham House Energy Storage Fund PLC on the acquisition of two utility-scale battery storage projects
- the shareholders of Euro Oil Private Limited, a Pakistan oil marketing company, on the sale of a stake to the BB Energy Group and the subsequent joint venture and supply arrangements between the groups
- China General Nuclear Power Group on its investment in new-build nuclear projects in the UK and the acquisition of industrial interests in the Hinkley Point C, Sizewell C and Bradwell B nuclear power station developments from EDF S.A.
Will is a member of various client service teams and works closely with a number of our key global clients on various strategic M&A matters. Will has also spent time on secondment at an infrastructure and energy investment fund.
