Ridah Iqbal

Principal Associate

Ridah is a Principal Associate in our Litigation and Dispute Management practice group.

She specializes in high-value, complex commercial disputes for national and international clients in the public and private sectors.

Her particular area of specialization is technology and outsourcing risk management, working closely with customers and suppliers to head off sensitive and time-critical issues. She helps clients navigate contractual sticking points, including service credit regimes, change management and termination processes. Ridah also has considerable experience in dispute resolution, utilizing contractual dispute resolution mechanisms and advising on high-value and technically complex High Court litigation and arbitration, as well as mediation and other forms of ADR.

She regularly advises on disputes within the aerospace and defense, automotive, and utilities sectors.

Ridah is a member of the firm’s TMT and FinTech groups, working with commercial colleagues on the impact of disruptive technology and driving forward risk management strategies and thought leadership.

Ridah's experience includes:

  • advising clients on exiting from outsourced arrangements, supporting commercial discussions and negotiations on exit, termination payments, the scope of assistance, and safeguarding data; she also regularly advises on disputes arising from terminations
  • leading multi-million pound technology and outsourcing disputes in the High Court, acting for both providers and customers, including disputes relating to SAP and Oracle ERP and CRM systems  
  • advising clients on managing software licensing audits and commercial negotiations around under licensing —  she also has extensive experience in advising on software licensing disputes, where commercial negotiations breakdown   
  • advising on supply chain disputes for prominent multinational food, retail and beauty brands
  • advising on identity and data theft, including instructing forensic experts to track perpetrators and supporting clients identifying weaknesses in their systems
