Practice notes

Stefan is an Associate in the Real Estate practice group in our Dusseldorf's office.

He advises his clients in all aspects of real estate law, in particular on real estate transactions with interfaces to corporate law as well as on project developments and mergers and acquisitions. Stefan focuses on commercial tenancy law. He advises primarily in the areas of retail, hotels and logistics.

Stefan studied at the University of Passau and at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster. He passed his first legal examination at the Higher Regional Court of Hamm in 2014. During the following legal clerkship, he worked at two major international law firms in the areas of corporate/M&A and real estate law.

Before joining Eversheds Sutherland in January 2019, he worked as a lawyer in an international medium-sized law firm in the field of corporate and real estate law in Dusseldorf.

Stefan’s recent experience includes:

  • Advising Nuveen Real Estate on the sale of the Erlangen Arcaden shopping centre to ECE with approx. 30,000 m² sales area and 100 tenants
  • Advising HBB Hanseatische Betreuungs- und Beteiligungsgesellschaft on joint venture with Henderson Park for the acquisition of the Rathaus Galerie shopping centre in Essen, Germany
  • Advising of an international logistic company on the drafting and negotiation of commercial lease agreements regarding large-scale logistics areas in Germany
  • Ongoing tenancy law advice to two real estate funds with an investment volume of over EUR 1.0 billion
  • Advising an institutional investor on the acquisition of a leading middle class hotel group
