Practice notes

Philip Kühn is an associate in the Technology, Media and Telecommunication as well as Intellectual Property practice groups in Eversheds Sutherland's Hamburg office.

He advises on all matters in the area of IT and IP, in particular on software licensing, data protection, copyright, competition and trade mark law. He furthermore represents companies in proceedings before as well as out of court, including with regard to interim legal protection.

Philip is a member of the German Association for Industrial Property and Copyright (Deutsche Vereinigung für gewerblichen Rechtsschutz und Urheberrecht, GRUR) and of the Hamburg Bar Association (Hamburgischer Anwaltverein, HAV).

Philip studied law at Bayreuth University with a focus on "Intellectual Property and Industrial Property Rights" and already worked in this field within the framework of various intern- and traineeships.

He completed his legal traineeship with Hamburg Hanseatic Higher Regional Court with a focus on IP and IT.

Before joining Eversheds Sutherland, he worked for a major multidisciplinary law firm in the areas of trade mark, design, competition and copyright law.
