Manuel López is Partner of the Banking & Finance Department at Eversheds Sutherland Madrid office. Manuel is an expert in financing transactions and financial regulation, in areas such as authorization of new entities and provision of financial services, adaptation to regulatory changes, investment funds and crypto-assets. Throughout his professional career, he has specialized in advising credit institutions, listed companies, investment services companies and funds on all matters related to the regulation of financial services and financing operations.

He has extensive experience in inspection and sanctioning procedures with financial supervisory authorities such as the Bank of Spain, the CNMV, and SEPBLAC, as well as in acting in judicial and extrajudicial banking and financial proceedings. Throughout his professional career, he has advised on numerous infrastructure and energy project financings (Project Finance). In the field of Capital Markets, he has accumulated extensive experience in listing processes on BME Growth and Euronext; bond issues and other capital operations (accelerated book building, buybacks, etc.).

Manuel López holds a PhD in Law and has been lecturer of Commercial Law since 2001, currently teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses at CUNEF. His extensive and renowned career has earned him distinction in the most reputable legal directories such as 'Chambers' (Financial Services Regulation and Corporate Compliance) and 'Legal 500' (Projects, Transport and Banking and Finance).
