Kasturi is a competition lawyer with a speciality interest in digital markets and telecoms.
A competition lawyer in the EU, Competition and Regulatory team, Kasturi has 20 years experience in this area of law. She is a UK accredited mediator. In addition, she has adjudicated on matters of consumer and credit and company law regulation as well as telecoms and broadcasting cases in South Africa. As a former competition law professor, Kasturi is internationally recognised for her research in competition law, where she has published widely in peer-reviewed journals, contributed chapters to international publications and co-edited a book on the Development of Competition Law and Economics in South Africa. She was awarded a PhD in competition law for her research on Private Enforcement of Cartels in South Africa which also focused on the US antitrust law and EU competition regulation.
As a competition lawyer at the firm, Kasturi is available to advise on matters relating to Irish and the EU competition regulation and advise on telecoms and cases relating to digital markets.
Kasturi was nominated as one of the ’40 in their 40’s’ notable women competition professionals in Europe, the Americas and Africa and currently mentors young up and coming women in the competition law field.
Over her career, Kasturi has presented at various international conferences and events and conducted training in a number of Southern African countries.
