Enda is a partner in our Corporate department and has over 20 years’ experience of advising on mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets, corporate re-organisations, shareholder arrangements, corporate fundraising, joint ventures, venture capital and private equity.

Enda also advises on financial regulatory issues and advises clients in the Fintech sector. He has advised both buyers and sellers on M&A transactions in the regulated financial services sector.

Enda was the Senior Corporate Lawyer in the Department of Finance during the later stages of Ireland's banking crisis during which time he advised on some of the largest and most important corporate and capital markets transactions of recent years.

During his time in the Department of Finance he was involved in advising on a diverse range of issues relating to the banking crisis such as shareholder litigation, liability management exercises, State aid, public procurement, bank capital requirements, the approval of bank restructuring plans by the European Commission and other bank stabilisation measures. Enda was part of the team which achieved the successful restructure of the Promissory Note element of Ireland's banking debt and the liquidation of Irish Bank Resolution Corporation Limited.

  • The shareholders of Three Rock Capital Limited on the sale of that company to Julius Baer
  • Totalhealth on the disposal of a portion of its interests in the Pharmax Buying Group to United Drug
  • Smartzone in connection with its strategic partnership with Aviva Insurance
  • Linked Finance on its recent equity raise from new and existing shareholders
  • St James Place plc in connection with its proposed acquisition of Harvest Financial
  • ICare (an Approved Housing Body) in connection with its debt facilities with AIB
  • The shareholders of Product2Market in connection with the sale of that company to Marketstar
  • Bramidan A/S in connection with the purchase of ACME Systems Limited
  • The Minister for Finance on the 525 million euro equity fundraising by Permanent TSB Group Holdings plc and the admission of the entire issued share capital of PTSB to the London Stock Exchange and the Irish Stock Exchange
  • The Minister for Finance on the disposal of the Preference Shares and Contingent Capital Notes held by the State in Bank of Ireland

Enda is a Non-Executive Director (and member of the Audit Committee) of the Investor Compensation Company (Ireland’s statutory “fund of last resort” for customers of failed investment firms) having been appointed to that role by the Minister for Finance.
