Practice notes

Maria is a Senior Associate in the Corporate Department.

She has experience advising on domestic and cross border transactions in a number of industries including the insurance, healthcare, financial services, food, energy and technology sectors. Maria regularly advises domestic and international clients on mergers and acquisitions, fundraising from private investors and financial institutions, corporate governance, complex and contentious corporate matters, joint venture and shareholders’ agreements, group reorganisations, general company law queries and commercial agreements. Maria trained and spent her formative working years with FEXCO, Ireland’s most successful privately owned financial services company. Since moving to private practice, Maria has focused on mergers and acquisitions, with a particular interest in share sales.

Maria's recent exerience includes:

  • advising Arachas Corporate Brokers Limited on its acquisition of the Hooper Dolan Group, MCM Insurance Brokers Limited, the O'Driscoll O'Neil Group, Murray & Spelman Limited
  • advising Sovereign Capital Partners on the realisation of its investment in Arachas to certain funds controlled and managed by Madison Dearborn Partners and HPS Investment Partners
  • advising the shareholders of National Oraganic 160 Products Limited on its sale to Bellingham Capital
  • advising Donegal Investment Group and Nir Sapir on the sale of Nomadic Dairy Limited to BiaVest in partnership with Development Capital
  • advising the Portman Healthcare Group on its acquisition of dental practices in Ireland
  • advising Carousel Logistics, a portfolio company of Livingbridge Capital, on its acquisition of BDA Acquisitions and its group of companies.
