Jamie is a Legal Director in Eversheds Sutherland's Corporate team.

He is experienced in mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance transactions for both private and public companies.

Jamie has experience in mergers and acquisitions (including various cross-border transactions), disposals, initial public offerings, secondary issues, equity fundraisings, joint ventures, corporate restructuring, shareholders agreements, articles of association, share buy-backs and general company secretarial advice.

Jamie's recent experience includes advising:-

  • Norcros plc on its £60m class 1 acquisition of Merlyn Industries and related equity fundraising
  • Sumo Group plc on its IPO on AIM (£145m market capitalisation)
  • iconic comic writer Mark Millar on the sale of his business to Netflix (Netflix's first ever acquisition globally)
  • Zeus Capital and Jefferies International on their £130m accelerated bookbuild fundraising for online fashion retailer boohoo.com and its shareholders
  • Premaitha Health plc on its acquisition of Yourgene Bioscience of Taiwan
  • Accrol Papers on its IPO on AIM (£93m market capitalisation)
  • Zeus Capital and Peel Hunt on the IPO on AIM of Watkin Jones (£255m market capitalisation)
  • Liberum Capital on the IPO on AIM of Ramsdens (£26.5m market capitalisation)
  • The Hut Group on a £100m investment by a consortium led by KKR
  • the shareholders of Brookson on the majority investment by US private equity house The Riverside Company
  • Daisy Group and Oakley Capital on their multi-jurisdictional acquisition of a Europe-wide telecommunications group

Jamie is recommended in the Legal 500 2017 and listed as a "Next Generation Lawyer" for corporate and commercial in Manchester, being noted for being "hands-on and extremely diligent".
