Rafał Piasecki is a lawyer in the Banking & Finance team at Eversheds Sutherland Poland.
He specializes in corporate law, civil law and banking law. His interests focus, among others, on legal securities of payment of receivables, including promissory note collaterals, as well as enforcement of claims from promissory notes.
He advises in Polish and international banking and finance transactions, including transactions involving company acquisitions, debt financing and refinancing - both on the side of financial institutions and on the side of borrowers. He has experience in legal advisory in the scope of property finance, acquisition finance projects as well as in legal due diligence. Rafał provides legal support in connection with preparation of transaction documentation - including security documentation, registration documentation and necessary corporate documentation.
Before joining Eversheds Sutherland he worked for a leading Polish law firm, where he was a member of teams advising in particular entities in the banking, payment services, real estate and energy sectors.

- Advising one of the largest banks in Poland in the process of financing purchase of shares in cosmetics industry company by a private equity fund.
- Advising a consortium of international lenders (over 20 international banks and other financial institutions) on a multi-billion dollar restructuring of a financing facility provided to an entity in the heavy industry sector.
- Advising on an international financing transaction for a borrower, a company from the renewable energy sector, in connection with the repayment of financing granted by a consortium of banks for an amount exceeding half a billion PLN and the release of established securities.
- Advising a real estate entity in obtaining financing for the implementation of real estate projects in the BTS model in several cities in Poland for a total amount of several tens of millions of euro.
- Advising a Polish bank on its claims under a blank promissory note issued by a limited liability company in favour of the bank to secure claims under a loan agreement worth tens millions of dollars.
