Practice notes

Ellina is an associate in our Dispute Resolution practice group. Her legal experience covers a range of commercial, corporate and tax disputes. She also has experience with insolvency matters, international investigations and currency control regulations. In addition, Ellina has significant experience in managing widespread legal and consulting teams engaged on one project in several jurisdictions.


  • represented one of the major international gold mining corporation in a tax dispute on the application of the concept of beneficial owner
  • acted for a failing bank being instructed by a turnaround bank (one of the biggest private banks in Russia), in a dispute with tax authorities
  • represented the interest of a group of businessmen in several parallel disputes on to recover damages from an international HoReCa company
  • represented a former member of the executive board of a Russian bank in a multimillion-dollar dispute related to liability for damages incurred by the bank (subsidiary liability)
  • advised in a multijurisdictional case on the removal an individual from OFAC sanction list

Graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University, before joining Eversheds Sutherland she used to work in the tax dispute resolution team at Deloitte CIS.
