Practice notes

Daria is a senior associate in our Tax practice. She specializes in tax planning and consultancy. Her expertise includes consulting major domestic and international clients from different areas (IT, e-commerce, transportation, banking) in a wide range of tax issues related to VAT, CPT, PIT. As well, Daria is qualified in the sphere of litigation and dispute management. She has experience in M&A and corporate sector.

Among Daria's recent projects are the following:

  • assistance within 3+ field tax audits for a Russian leader in meat production sector with total charges amounting to half a billion RUB
  • consulting of a world-leading lessor of tank containers in respect to optimization of current business model in Russia for purposes of tax and customs optimization
  • consulting of a world-leading tobacco producer (Korea) in respect to customs and tax issues, including personal taxation issues
  • preparation of advice for a Russian flag-carrying airline on personal taxation issues according to the laws of Russia, UK & Germany
  • advising leading Russian intermodal transport company on the share SPA with the deal value of more than USD 70 mln
  • consulting a leading Czech cable producer on tax & customs consequences of entering the Russian market with respect to inter-country trade agreements
  • consulting a number of Scandinavian clients on tax consequences of cross-border transactions with respect to DTTs provisions affected by MLI including Eversheds Sutherland foreign offices participatio

Daria has a Bachelor Degree of Moscow State University of International Relations (MGIMO-University) and a Masters Degree of Moscow State Law University (MSAL). During her Master`s studies Daria attended courses at the Law Faculty of University of Potsdam (Germany) for half a year. She holds an IELTS certificate.
