Luke is a partner in the litigation and dispute management practice in Moscow and a Russian Attorney-at-Law (Advokat) in the Moscow Chamber, with rights of audience in civil and criminal courts throughout Russia.

Luke is a member of the corporate crime and investigations practice, advising on practical compliance for foreign-owned subsidiaries in Russia, on the ground investigations in Russia related to commercial bribery or breaches of the Russian Criminal Code or foreign laws (FCPA, Bribery Act 2010, etc.) and representation of clients before Russian law enforcement agencies.

In addition to graduating from law school in Russia, Luke has also received a B.A. and M.A. in the United States, where he has also lectured. Luke is an American national, and although his native language is English, he is fully fluent on a professional level in Russian.

Luke is currently the Co-Chair of the Legal and Investment Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia and a lecturer on international law at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow.

Recent representative matters include advising an Austrian client on a dispute with a Russian manufacturing company related to the delivery of turbine blades to a nuclear power plant under the SCC Rules, Czech Export Bank in Russian state commercial courts on insolvency proceedings in relation to a state-owned power plant, including liaising with the local government, and investigations for a Fortune 500 company on whistleblower allegations of bribery, embezzlement and similar conduct in Russia.
