Practice notes

Olesya is an associate in the Tax Law practice group at Eversheds Sutherland in Moscow.

Olesya advises clients primarily on corporate tax matters, including compliance with applicable tax regulations and mitigation of tax risks, structuring intra-group and internal transactions from a tax perspective, and effectively putting to use favourable tax regimes and tax benefits provided by legislation.

Her recent experience includes advising on:

• intra-group services (structuring, analyzing and preparing defense files for the tax authorities)
• the concept of ultimate beneficial owner (compliance, preparing defense files for the tax authorities)
• VAT on e-services provided by non-resident entities (application of new regulation)
• federal and regional tax benefits (aiding the receipt and application)
• assessing tax risks within the framework of IFRS and RAS audits as well as tax reviews (analyzing risks and identifying measures to reduce risks)

Before joining Eversheds Sutherland, Olesya gained comprehensive expertise as a senior tax consultant in one of the ‘Big Four’ auditing companies.

Olesya holds a bachelor’s degree in private law and a master’s degree in tax law, both with honors, from Lomonosov Moscow State University.
