Practice notes

Oxana Peters is a partner in our dispute resolution team. Her practice encompasses a broad range of litigation matters for a wide range of national and global clients, which in recent years has included: commercial, construction, corporate, tax and other litigation and arbitration matters in Russia and the CIS, including recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards. 

Oxana has been recommended by The Legal 500 and Chambers Global for her work in dispute resolution. She is a top-ranked trial lawyer and a Russian attorney-at-law (Advokat)

Some of Oxana’s recent cases include: 

  • Securing a defense victory for a Russian subsidiary of a German media concern in a commercial dispute that arose out of a false supply contract, where the receivables were allegedly sold to a factoring company
  • Represented s Russian subsidiary of one of Europe's largest retailer of consumer electronics in several commercial disputes against landlords
  • Defended the executives of a multinational investment company in administrative and criminal proceedings, as well as in parallel shareholder litigation
  • Represented a London-based sports event organizer with respect to recognition and enforcement of a High Court of Justice judgement issued against a Russian athlete
  • Defended large American and Russian companies focusing on the supply of banking equipment, construction and pharmacology in numerous tax litigations
  • Won a case for a major Russian bank against a mala fide creditor disputing security and settlement agreements
  • Represented a Russian investment company in a dispute regarding securities transactions
  • Successfully defended a large Moscow-based brokerage firm against its mala fide clients

Through her professional career, Oxana has held different positions as Deputy Head of the Legal Committee of the Russian-German Chamber of Commerce (AHK), Head of the Dispute Resolution Group of the Legal Committee of the Russian-German Chamber of Commerce (AHK), Arbitrator at the Russian Arbitration Association, and she also took active part in the INCOTERMS 2020 drafting group.
