Practice notes

Ulrich Schiener is a Senior Associate in our practice group Corporate/M&A. He is admitted to practise in Germany and Spain.

Ulrich renders legal advice on all aspects related to complex cross-border transactions. Based on his professional experience he has a profound knowledge in advising industrial companies, amongst those numerous automotive suppliers, on commercial, distribution and contract issues.

Being fluent in Spanish and understanding the cultural particularities, he provides legal advice to German companies regarding their business in Spain or LATAM (especially Mexico/Colombia) and counsels Spanish or Latin American companies in relation to their operations in Germany.

He has published several articles on international legal relations.

Ulrich is a member of the Bar Association of Munich and Madrid.

Ulrich holds a Magister Iuris from the University of Heidelberg as well as a multi-disciplinary Bachelor of Laws in business administration and business law. He also obtained a Diploma in International Commercial Arbitration from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) in London.

During his professional education, he spent a study visit at Universidad La Católica Boliviana in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, and worked with an international law firm in Prague and Bratislava.

Before joining Eversheds Sutherland, Ulrich Schiener worked with a boutique law firm where he advised mid-sized and listed industrial companies in the areas of international corporate and commercial law and represented clients in litigation and arbitral proceedings linked thereto.
