Practice notes

Sebastian Schneiker is a Senior Associate in the Construction Law practice group at Eversheds Sutherland in Munich.

He advises building contractors, public or private clients, architects and engineers on all questions regarding private construction and architectural law as well as procurement law and represents their interests before court. He focusses on the drafting and reviewing of building contracts, the enforcement of and defence against remuneration claims, claims for defects or damages and the awarding of contracts for building works.

Sebastian Schneiker studied law at Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich where he also worked as legal research assistant after completing his first legal state examination in 2011. He passed the second legal state examination in 2013. Since the beginning of 2014, Sebastian has also been admitted as lawyer. Before he joined Eversheds Sutherland in January 2016, he worked for a medium-sized law firm in the field of construction law.

He's a member of the Munich Bar Association and the German Society for Construction Law.

Sebastian's recent experience includes:

  • Advice to a leading German civil engineering company regarding the enforcement of supplementary claims
  • Representation before court of a medium-sized construction company regarding the defence of claims for defects in the area of facade engineering
  • Ongoing representation before court of companies regarding the enforcement of remuneration claims
