Gerard is a consultant in our Real Estate department.

His main areas of expertise are commercial property and construction. Gerard is qualified to practice in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland and has over 20 years' real estate practice representing clients from many different spheres in a wide range of transactions including site acquisition and development and commercial leases. Some of his major clients are drawn from the logistics, agri-food and construction sectors.

Gerard has acted for all major banks in the ROI/NI markets in secured lending transactions and in the review and enforcement of security, including insolvency and receiver appointments and sales on foot of these. Has advised lenders on regulatory and compliance issues and their standard security documents and terms and conditions.

He has regularly appeared in Legal 500 as a 'Recommended Lawyer' and in Chambers and Partners as a 'Recognised Practitioner’.

The 2020 Chambers and Partners edition quotes a source who states that Gerard offers "very responsive service delivery and good commercial advice."

Gerard also lectured on commercial property for RICS and also served on the committee of the Northern Ireland Commercial Property Lawyers’ Association.
