Practice notes

Christine is an associate in our Real Estate group. She specialises in environmental and planning law (planning and zoning, environmental permits, EHS) and general administrative law (Government Information (Public Access) Act).

Her recent experience includes:

  • Renewable energy projects: assisting clients in realising solar parks, bio mass and geothemal energy projects
  • Data centers: assisting clients in realising data centers
  • Real estate development: assisting clients in requests to amend zoning plan, legal advice on submitting and issuing (environmental) permits
  • Compliance: assisting clients in granting environmental permits and building permits
  • Government Information (Public Access) Act: assisting clients in preventing disclosure of confidential data relating to companies and manufacturing processes

She is the co-author of the book Parliamentary history Environment and Planning Act (“Parlementaire Geschiedenis Omgevingswet”). In 2019 she published together with Natascha Geraedts and Paul Goedvolk the article Threats and opportunities for the establishment and development of data centers in the Netherlands (“Bedreigingen en kansen voor de vestiging en ontwikkeling van datacenters in Nederland”).

Christine is a prospective member of the Association of Environmental Lawyers (VMA - Vereniging van Milieurecht Advocaten). This is the association of lawyers specialized in environmental law in the Netherlands. In addition, Christine is a member of the Environmental Law Association (VMR – Vereniging voor milieurecht), the Network of environmental professionals (VVM – Netwerk van milieuprofessionals) and the Administrative Law Association (VAR – Vereniging voor bestuursrecht).
