Practice notes
Aoife is a Senior Associate in our Real Estate department.
She has experience in a wide range of transactional, developmental, corporate, financing, and other cross-departmental matters having focused in particular on site acquisition and disposal, acting for receivers, pension funds and other institutional investors (both Irish and overseas investors) and long term development projects (from acquiring and refinancing greenfield lands banks and works involving satisfying strategic development scheme infrastructure requirements and development partnerships).
Aoife regularly advises both landlords and tenants on all aspects of Landlord and Tenant law including agreements for lease, leases, licences, consents, assignments, variations, surrenders, etc and the ongoing management in relation to same.
Recent client experience insludes:
- acting in respect of the strategic acquisition of a series units within a mixed use development in Dublin 4.
- acted with respect to the sale of a property in the I.F.S.C., Dublin. Completion was logistically complicated as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic having emerged within Ireland immediately prior to the contracted completion date and further due to certain financing conditions of the purchaser’s lender.
- assisting a lead partner acting on behalf of the landlord of a newly constructed multi let building in Sandyford, Dublin. This is the landlord’s first Irish lease deal. Workstreams involve drafting and negotiating agreements for lease and leases with all anticipated tenants.
- acted with respect to the asset management of one of Ireland’s largest shopping and leisure destinations in Dublin. This involved negotiating and agreeing agreements for lease, leases, licences, surrenders, variations, assignments, dilapidations, etc.
- acted on behalf of a purchaser with respect to the acquisition and syndicated financing of a site in Dublin 8 intended to be developed by the client as an international co-living arrangement.
